Our latest article, “Force distribution and contact mechanics in mini-tablet compaction: A discrete element method study,” has been published in Pharmaceutical Research. This work uses DEM simulations to investigate how particle size, size distribution, and fill weight influence force transmission during mini-tablet compaction. The study highlights how particle size and polydispersity drive force heterogeneity and compaction behavior, with implications for tablet quality and performance. These findings provide new mechanistic insights to guide formulation design and manufacturing.
